So I took the kids skating the other day to end the summer with a blast... we had a great time. Yes, I skated too... and no, I only fell once when Amber tripped me.... that really hurt. I don't remember the fall being so far to the ground. Oh well, the benefits of being a kid I guess...

Here is Jimmy with his best friend Levi...

Amber with her friends Katie & Alli...

Here is Doodle Bug and me eating our italian ice's... yummy....

Oh yeah and by the way, this is what the italian ice does to your tounge, just in case you wondered....

And this is what a blue rasberry slushie does to your tounge...
Doodle Bug...

Here are the hoodlums now from left to right, Amber, Katie, Alli, Levi, Jimmy...

In this picture Jimmy and I are skating, he is holding on to my shirt and I am pulling him (yes that is a large piece of candy in his mouth)...

Here Amber and I are skating together holding hands (BTW, that sign she is doing is our family's way of saying I love you)...

Here is Amber and the girls skating together, holding hands...
dangerous I tell you...

And Jimmy & Levi racing on the "turtles"... they rocked the place...

I am an auntie (again)!!! My sister Ashley just had a beautiful baby girl, named Kaiya Zimri Flanagan. She is such a beautiful angel. Kaiya was born on August 27th, which was a month earlier than planned, but she is beautiful and healthy. We hope to have her home from the hospital sometime within the week. I can't wait to hold her and love her and squeeze her and smooch her. Here are some pics we took while in the hospital.
Here she is world, Kaiya Zimri....

I love this one where her diaper looks like a huge marshmallow....

Here is proud auntie with proud (and tired) mama (and of course Amber tried to slide in on this one)...
I just had to throw this one in... my kids can't leave nuthin alone...

So I took a week off of work to have a little time with our kiddos before they start school on the 2nd of Sept. We took a 4 day camping trip to our favorite camping spot called Whiskey Rock at lake Pend O'rielle. It was a really fun time, we had a pretty rowdy bunch next to us which made sleeping a little less than peaceful, but for the most part, it was an awesome vacation. We did a ton of fishing, swimming, eating, hiking, and huckleberry hunting. The weather got a little icky on one of the days but that never stops us Booths, we will find a way to have fun, rain or shine!!!
Here are some fun pics to share with you all.... ENJOY!!!

Fishing was probably our funnest (is that a word?) activity while camping, we caught some smally's (small mouth bass), and a couple of sucker fish... but all in all it was just a great trip and just perfect cause we were together!

Here I am "kissing the fish", which is what we all do before throwing them back into the lake. Weird tradition, I know, but we all do it and always have...

Here is Doodle Bug, our die hard fishin' chic, this girl never gives up and will go to the extreme just to get the best spot, rain or shine....

I just love this picture, it had been raining almost all day and the kids had already gotten their pj's on for bed. We had a beautiful break in the weather, so we all grabbed our fishing poles and ran down to the docks to get a little more fishin in before the end of the day...

Even Buddy liked getting warm and dry by the fire...

Here, the kids are lovin on Buddy....

Jimmy and Amber build this fire all by themselves and they were so proud of themselves, as were we... so I had to get a picture, it lasts longer...

Here I am squishing Jim like a bug.... Mwah, hah, haaahhhhh.....

Here are some rock jumping pics...
Jimmy...

Amber...

Jim....

I will spare you the one of me....
And a Booth family camping trip would not be complete without Amber catching some sort of strange odd bug or reptile.... Here she is with a lizard she caught, they named it Eliza...

And of course to end a perfect trip, Jimmy enjoying a little quiet time to himself at the end of the day...

And of course some videos for your viewing pleasure...

Here is a video of Jim, Jimmy & Amber rock jumping into the lake. Of course Amber had to wait for daddy to catch her so she could belly flop (like usual) and swim to him.

I only added this next one because the fam wanted me to. I am not much of a swimmer when it comes to cold lake water... this water was maybe about 70 degrees... and of course, unless it is 78 or warmer, I am not a huge fan. Besides, after I did, I almost completely lost my bottoms, I would hate to scare away all the fish, then I would be the reason why we didn't catch any later on that night. But the kids wanted me to dive in soooo bad that when I finally did, they had to show the whole world that mom really can swim... so here you go.

We ended up having to get rid of Lucky... he was becoming very dominant over Buddy and Buddy started to get very skinny because he could not eat or even come near the house. He was also very destructive.... he would dig up our black strip molding between the gravel rockway and the lawn and we would have to dig it back in almost daily. Anyways, he went to a very nice couples home who live in Spokane. So now it is just back to the one dog... Yay!

KIDDOS COME BACK TOMORROW!!! YAY!!!

It has been so quiet around the house for the last couple of weeks while the kiddos are gone. Jim and I have been so busy though that the time has gone by so fast. Here is a pic Jim took with my phone the day they left.

By the way, yes, my hair is short now.... I donated 10 inches to the locks of love. It felt so great to be able to do that, plus, I am absolutely loving having my hair short now!!! I think I'm hooked. Jim likes it too. Surprise!
Anyways, nothing else really new around here. Just enjoying the last few weeks of summer. The weather has been PERFECT! In the 80's everyday since.... I can't even remember how long. Weeks at least.

Well, our computer is still down, but fortunately I can still write from work.
Been a great summer so far. My dad and Sandra are living with us for a little while and the kids are really liking the fact that they have mamaw around during the day. Especially Amber! Her and Sandra are like peas and carrots when it comes to crafts. Goodness gracious, those two should just be left alone to do their thing. They make the most beautiful jewlery together. Over the 4th of July weekend, we went camping with our friends Travis & Maella. We took the kids on a 10 mile hike and they did so great. They loved it and hardly complained at all. Little troopers.
This coming weekend the kiddos are going to Nana & Gramps house in Anacortes. They are so excited. Amber had her bags all packed and ready to go two days ago. She is so funny.
Anyways, nothing else really new here. Jim still loves his new job. He can't believe that he held out so long finding a job that is so tailored for him. Me? I'm just hangin out, workin and doin the yard work thing. And filling the majority of my time that I'm not working, lovin on my family.
I am gonna miss my munchkins like crazy when they are gone, CANT WAIT TO HAVE THEM BACK, and they haven't even left yet. :(

Well, we got a mega virus on our home computer, so I am writing this from work. Not a whole lot going on here... Jim is now working as a Bailiff at the courthouse now. He really loves it. The first question that everyone asks is "does he get to carry a pistol?" The answer to all who are still curious it YES, he does! And he carries handcuffs, pepper spray and all that cool stuff that guys like. By the way... he really looks hot too. Anyways, that is the only new haps around here. All else is good, kids are outta school and loving the freedom of being hoodlums at home. Hopefully our computer is up and running again soon at home, but for now, this is all I got. Sorry no new pics.

I just wanted to share this, since it was on my mind...
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jer 29:11
Sometimes I feel like a leaf tossing in the wind, with no rhyme or reason, no goal or purpose... but then I have to remember these words that resound in my head. The words of the Lord of the universe. He who created such intricate details from proto-plasm to gravity and planets and stars, yet He still says that we are His greatest creation. Sometimes people feel so unimportant, and useless. Sadly enough, it is the hurtful words and actions of other people who install this sense of unimportance in others. If everyone would just smile 10% more of the time, and if we could all just rearrange the words in our vocabulary from "I" and "me" to "please" and "thank you", and start thinking of others before ourselves just as the Lord commands, this corrupt world we live in would be a lot more joyful of a place to be.
Mark 12:30-31 says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Well, just food for thought... ~Chryss
Okay, so I chose another school pic for Doodle Bug... we liked this one a lot better.

IT'S SOCCER SEASON ONCE AGAIN...

The kids are on the same team this year WOOHOO!!! Last year as you may remember, was chaos, trying to go from one practice to another and worse, one game to the other. But this year, our friend is coaching and so we are playing Amber up on Jimmys team. YAY! Fortunately, they are both doing very good this year, and thier team rocks! Jimmy scored a goal at the 2nd game. He was so happy. Before the game, my dad told him, "this is your game, this is your time to score a goal". And when he did, he was very quick to remind me, while he was still on the field in the middle of a play, no less, that "Papaw told me I would score today, and I sure did, just like he said!"

Jimmy and Amber all in the same shot... nice, Amber is right behind the girls ponytail...

Here is Jimmy before his goal
