Today was such a fun day!!! We got up this morning and went to a missions meeting at 10, then we took the kids to the YMCA to swim! It was such a blast. They have a waterslide there and tons of swimming room, shallow and very deep. All four of us swam for a couple of hours and after we all admitted that we were completely and utterly exhausted, we all agreed to go get some lunch. So we headed out to Cabela's and had lunch. They have all kinds of cool food there made with just about any wild game you would want to eat. Deli sandwiches or burgers with elk, venison, wild boar, bison, wild turkey & ostrich. Well, Jim had a bison burger, I had a philly cheese steak sandwich (best I ever ate) and the kids had plain 'ol hamburgers (boring). Then on the way out, of course we had to get our warm candied pecans and almonds. YUMMY!!!

All in all, it was an extremely fun and exhausting day. Jimmy just came in a minute ago while I was writing this and said "I am so exhausted, but I don't wanna go to bed this early (6:00pm), then I would wake up too early". Are you kidding me??? If he and Amber were to hit the hay right now, Jim and I would be all over that like white on rice. We would love to go to sleep at 6:00pm. We are such mattress backs!!!

Soccer season is over and now we are on to whatever it is that comes next. For us, we are sooo extremely busy with missions at church and getting ready for our trip to Nairobi, Kenya in February. Oh, yeah... for those of you who didn't know, Jim and I are taking a missions trip in February 09 to the Mathare Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. If you don't know much about the Mathare slum, you can Google it. Pretty amazing the need for Jesus that is there. Hopelessness is just one word to describe the theme. So between discipleship training, meetings, lots of prayer and quiet time with the Lord and of course our shots (Oweeeee), we have been very busy once again. But as a family, things are wonderful as always!!

And of course I had to throw in a couple of the Autumn leaves. The first two pics of the kids by the yellow leaves on the maple tree were taken only 2 weeks before the next one which was just after we had to rake all those beautiful leaves up and throw them into the back of ol blue to take 'em to the dump. Which was just yesterday, by the way.

Once again, it has been 1000 miles per hour in the Booth household, but finally we have had some breathing room. This is a total suprise to Doodlebug, so shhhhh..... but this is her birthday present... we pick her up on the 5th (Ambers birthday is Dec. 3rd). She is a purebread yellow lab puppy presently 6 weeks old. I can't wait to see the expression on her face when she gets her. I will video it... PROMISE!! Right now her name is "Tink", but that could change once Doodle gets ahold of her.... Please... please... please... nobody say ANYTHING until after the 5th of Dec.
