BUMMER!
Jim and I went hunting this weekend and got totally skunked.
We went turkey hunting, saw a couple of jakes and hens, but didn't get a clear shot on the jakes. I also saw a deer, a small deer shed (which Jim is holding here)
several snails and a centipede. Just wish we could have gotten a turkey. I am thinking that turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce and cream cheese sound really good about now. Oh well... I am on a diet anyways so I guess it'll do me some good to not get one quite yet. But the thrill of the chase was worth it all. I took some pics anyways, even though we didn't do very well.

Can you believe that it's been 3 weeks since my last post? Well so much has happened. So I will make it brief. My dad & Sandra came to visit in the 1st week of April while the kids were on spring break. We all had such a great time. They are so much fun to be with. We went to the park at Fort Sherman in Coeur d'Alene

Lake Pend'Orielle

and just hung out around the house. We actually had an adult "date night" while the kids were at a friends birthday party. We went to the Wine Cellar in downtown Coeur d'Alene, I love that place...

Jimmy never wanted to stop playing video games
and football with my dad.
It was the cutest thing ever.

Ashley also came back with them. Man it is so great to have her back. Hopefully she won't be as bored this time. She is out job hunting and looking for things to do, but fortuntately she has found a few friends to hang with that are much cooler than her 31 year old dorky sister (who, might I add, is very much like her that it's scary).

Anyways, other than the fact that my computer crashed as we were trying to get our taxes done and I am completely stressed.... all is great and beautiful.

We already miss you guys!!

Last weekend we went to Fort Sherman Park
and played basketball
and the kids played in the park.
We had a blast, as always.

We went for a hike today at Farragut State Park at Lake Pend'Orielle (sounds like ponderay).

The dog went Nutso. He ran everywhere
& got so tuckered.

Last night we went to my sisters house. It was so much fun. We always have such an awesome time with those guys. It will be sad when they move to the WA, coast this summer.

Well Ashley just left yesterday and our hearts are shattered. I never knew that a little punk like my sister could grow on us so easily. It is amazing how much her and I are so much alike and yet so different. She is such an amazing young woman and in the 8 weeks she was here I saw such a tremendous change in her. From a spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally drained girl, to a happy go lucky young lady with so much potential and so much to offer this world. She has so many gifts, that if used for the glory of God and not for this world, she can go so far in life. My hope for her is that she comes back to finish what she started here, but only God knows her future and I am in constant prayer that I am a huge part of that.

These pictures were taken at the airport right before she left.

Here we are, Charlies Angels... look out, Carl's Angels are back in town.

Okay, she may look small, but I am not that strong....

Here is me after she got on the plane. Waaaah

Here is Jim when she left, okay, maybe he is hamming it up just a bit.

The weather is finally clearing up and getting warmer, it is so beautiful and you can see the moods of people getting better and more vibrant.

To date, Jimmy has had 3 basketball games. They won 2 and lost 1. I am so proud of him, this is his first year, and he really seems like he is trying to understand the game, but you can tell that he is a rookie. Poor dude, he is still trying to figure out the whole defense thing and when he should actually use it. He seems to think that he needs to stick by "his guy" all the time, even on offense. He will get it. One of these days it will just click.

Moving on... Jim is taking a road trip with his friend, Clint, next weekend. They are going to Oroville, CA, to pick up the rest of our stuff from storage. I am so excited. All my pictures are still there. It will be nice to have everything back, so that we can go on with life, not having to worry about our stuff still being there. It has been a year and a half now since we left there and I have replenished almost all of what is there though, dishes, pots & pans, clothes, and many other miscellaneous items. But It will just be nice to be done with it all.

Our family has finally gotten over this horrible head cold that has just been recycling itself through our family at least twice. Feels good to be well again. The weather is beautiful, my family is beautiful, life is so beautiful.

Boys will be boys....

At the Booth house as you can see, the boys have way too much fun, and not one of them is under 6 feet tall or 250 lbs. YIKES!!!

For those of you who are praying folk, and even for those of you who aren't, Please, please, please keep a friend of ours in California in your prayers. She just tried to commit suicide a few days ago and is in a psych ward right now. I can't get ahold of her right now, but hopefully when she gets out of her 72 hour hold there, she will call me back. Anyways, please pray for her, please pray for us to have the right words for her when she calls, and please pray that we get some sleep as we have lost many hours over this. Thank you!!!

Well our homegroup is back up and running again and it is so great to have the fellowship again. It is amazing how just in 2 weeks of having it how the enemy has tried to come up against us with sickness, fatigue, issues and undue stress at work and many other minor things that have made us so tired or just taking the time away to study for Thursday nights. Jim and I both started digging back into the Word even deeper than ever about 6 weeks ago, and as soon as we started the homegroup we haven't had the time to dig in as deep as we have been and it is really taking a toll. But we just keep on keepin on, and pushing through the attempt for defeat. Please keep us and all the ones in our homegroup in your prayers as we meet each Thursday, and continue to have that intimate relationship with each other during the week as well. Here are some pictures that I took last night. Oh did I mention that our god-daughter is getting so big, and beautiful? Well, she is. And I just love her mommy and daddy too.
I also included one of Ashley and Jimmy. He just loves her. He is so much like my dad and him and Ash just mesh so well. They are like two little peas in a pod.

Hope y'all have a great week.

Not much going on lately. I guess you could say that our lives are pretty boring. Very scheduled. M-F, get up, have quiet time, go to work, come home, eat dinner, go to bed, repeat. Sat, get up, have quiet time, do laundary and house cleaning, have dinner, go to bed. Sun, get up, have quiet time, go to church, go to Wal-Mart, come home and watch foot ball and play with our family, have dinner, go to bed. Pretty boring right? This week was so thrown off schedule for me cause I was sick. Bleh! I had to stay home from work for a couple days and do nothing. Now if you know me, it is very hard for me to just sit and do 'nothing'. Now of course, Jim got whatever it was that I had, so I went to church for the first time ever without him today. Although going to church today felt so good, I should rephrase that, I always love going to church. We have the most awesome church on the face of the planet, okay I am not being biased, but, we do. Anyways, it just felt so good to get out and get out of my PJ's for a change. But when we got home, what did I do? Put my Pj's on and took a nap. Does this mean I am getting old? Okay, now that I have fully bored you, you can go back to your life, which I hope is more eventful than ours this week. Love ya'll ~chryss
ps. I just liked this picture that I took on New Years Day this year at Lake Coeur d'Alene, It reminds me that there really is ground under the foot of snow we have right now.

The past couple of weeks have been crazy; great, but crazy. My sister is here from Colorado and it has been a real joy having her here. The kids are loving it too, however, it has been quite an adjustment for Amber Doodle. The weather has also been a real hinderance. It hasn't been above 10 degrees for the last week and the majority of the time it has been between -8 and 0 degrees. Ashley is not wild about it. She was under the impression that it would be warmer here than in Colorado. Whoops, we had to go out today and get her a warm jacket, boots, a scarf and gloves. But hopefully soon it will warm up, at least into the 20's or 30's. Pathetic when that sounds warm huh?
Anyways, we had Jimmy's birthday party this weekend and it was not quite as crazy as Amber's was, with 10 screaming little girls running around. But it was nice with just a few of his friends. Now with the holidays over and birthdays all taken care of, we can exhale until next December. Sigh!!!

Had a very long Christmas and New Years break, it is so nice to be back to normalicy again. The kids are in school, we are back at work. YAY!! New Years Eve was very uneventful. We slept. But New Years Day was a blast. We went to Tubbs Hill and went on a hike. We took Buddy and he went nutso. The kids had fun and I was very impressed that they made the whole hike without complaining. Funny thing was that it was a little icy, so every one of us fell on our peaches, except for daddy of course, Mr. steadfast footing. But I caught him a couple of times slippin' and slidin'.

Hope y'all have a great new year.
